Neighbourhood Plan

Neighbourhood Plan

The Little Baddow Neighbourhood Plan was made by Chelmsford City Council on 18th August 2023 and adopted as a Development Plan Document following a referendum at which 92% of residents voted for it. View the adoption statement.

The Plan was developed by an independent group of residents on behalf of the Parish Council to give residents the opportunity to help shape future development of the village.

It now forms part of the Chelmsford Local Plan and carries equal weight when consideration is being given to planning issues. It will give planners and planning inspectors insight into the views of residents about any potential development, and identify features that residents consider to be important such as views, woodlands, the Chelmer & Blackwater conservation area, and the rural character of the village.

In addition, a Design Guide has been developed to support the Neighbourhood Plan.
