Holybred Wood is an area of 21 acres of ancient woodland in the village of Little Baddow. It comprises mostly hornbeam coppice, oak, sweet chestnut, birch and holly with an under-storey containing bluebell and wood anemone. The wood is a haven for many types of wildlife including badgers.
Following a fundraising appeal in 2000, Holybred Wood was purchased for the benefit of the village in perpetuity and is managed by Little Baddow Parish Council. Queries should be addressed to the Parish Clerk.
A small car park in Holybred Lane allows access for disabled visitors.
